The question this month is: If you could be another writer, who would you want to be? Or what have you learned from them?

This is a tricky one, because there’s a number I would be if I could. In order of increasing importance, they are:

3.) Terry Prachett, for not only his sense of humor, but how he made that humor meaningful. I’d love to be able to write satire like he did.

2.) Hiromu Arakawa, mangaka of FullMetal Alchemist, the best fantasy manga I’ve ever read, hands down. I would love to be able to not only write the most amazing plot, full of passion, heart, action, and with some genuine romance with strong female characters, I would also love to be able to draw all my characters with the same level of beauty that I see in my head. Her artwork is really amazing.

1.) Neil Gaiman, for his ability with social media. He is so much fun to follow and is so willing to connect with his fans, I love reading his posts. More than that, I love his children’s books. They’re so different and so wonderful. I love them and wish I could write with his flair for words and his heart.

So there you go: three masks instead of one. 🙂
