In other words, no writing. Maybe some reading. We’ll see.
If things go the way I think they will, I’ll be tweeting/posting about decluttering, among other things, starting Monday. It’ll be a rapid, temporary shift for this blog, but I think it’ll be useful for those who need to do a massive deep cleaning/decluttering in a very short period of time. It’s so easy to get sidetracked and end up in a worse state than when you began. It’s also very easy to burnout and collapse before the job is done. I’ve learned enough by now that I think I can not only avoid this, but I can explain how to avoid it. (Credit where credit is due: the vast majority of what I’ve learned comes from FlyLady. I love her system.)
A preview of what’s to come: I’ve learned that if you aren’t willing to pay for it to be shipped to your new location, don’t keep it. That’s a bit of advice I read from someone who was moving and had to pay by weight. Those shipping costs changed her entire outlook on what she needed and what she was willing to keep. I found it works on small-scale decluttering. This is my first time using it on a large scale. We’ll see how it works, starting Monday.
(Quick note on writing, though…my space opera WIP is coming along very well. I’m going to miss writing in it, and I hope to get back to it as soon as possible.)
