Read an Ebook Week; spring in Texas; extra words

girlreadingLet’s get this out of the way first. Smashwords Read an Ebook Week starts tomorrow, and I’ve put a few of my own items on their list: Shining Armor, Lady Fair, and The Baker’s Wife in all its forms are 75% off for the rest of next week. Here’s the link to my profile and a list of my books on Smashwords, just in case you’re interested.

In other news, I didn’t post yesterday because when I wasn’t writing or figuring out Smashwords problems with something I’d uploaded, I was trying to help my fourth daughter, Pinkity (not her real name), get over an earache. For some reason, we’ve been having a real problem with illness over here. It gets better, and comes back, gets better, and comes back.

It’s got to be the weather. I tell friends that Texas only has two seasons, winter and summer, and it’s true. Spring and fall are really just winter and summer taking turns. For example, yesterday it was 80 degrees (F) on our porch. Tomorrow, we’re supposed to have a wintry mix with temps in the 30s in the afternoon.

It’s been like that for weeks.

This morning it was foggy, and it’s currently (10 am) in the mid-50s on our porch. Not bad. I’m going to enjoy it while it lasts.

Anyway, the point is that I got about 500 words in yesterday. More than I expected. I’m going to try to catch up today. I’ll let you know tonight if I managed it.
