The beginning of my writing journal; chicory tea; more scenes on Wattpad

I’m hijacking my own blog. I’ve got to get back to writing new words, and making sure I’m keeping a decent amount of revising going. In other words, I’m slowing down on content and I can feel it.

I also need to learn how to enjoy writing short stories. They’re so friggin’ compact! Writing them helps with the novels, so I want to keep going. Need to figure out a way to make them fun, though. Maybe if I go totally pulp on them? It’s a thought.

I say this, but we have a big change that might be coming up soon. More on that when more is firm.

And I’ve still got a nasty cough that might be turning into an infection. I’m dousing it with our homemade master tonic (the stuff is amazing!) and seem to be getting better. I’ll try hitting it harder today. (Embedding the video on how to make it for those who are curious.)

In line with improving my health, I’m trying chicory root tea. It looks like coffee. My husband (who once drank coffee many years ago) says it tastes like coffee should be. It’s bitter. Oh heaven help me, it’s bitter. But not in a bad way. I think I could get used to it.

Word Count (New): Nada. Too tired. I’ll have to try again tomorrow.

Scenes revised: One. But it was very long. (I swear, most of the scenes where Krysilla is the viewpoint character run between 8,000 to 10,000 words long. Granted, they’re actually multiple scenes tied together, but still, I’m always amazed when I look at the word count for her scenes.)
