The moment has come. I mentioned in a previous post that I wasn’t sure what I was going to do yet about this blog. After looking at my life, my time, my energy, and what I want to do, I’ve decided to put all my platform-building energy into my website, keeping Twitter for fun.
Reason? Well, a big one is the fact that a website is static. When people visit and see a static Welcome page surrounded by links, it won’t be as big a deal if you update infrequently. When a blog is your front page, though, the need to update niggles the back of your head. At least, that’s how I’ve experienced this.
There are other reasons, of course. The ability to back-up my site, plugins, my own domain name, etc. But the biggest one is time. I have so little of it, I’m trying to manage it as best I can.
So, we’ve come to the end of this blog. I’m leaving it up for the sake of any who’ve linked to it…and nostalgia. It’s nice seeing the way my thoughts on writing have evolved.
