The Dragon’s Birth by Jaimey Grant

The Dragon’s Birth isn’t really a short story in that it’s not a complete story by itself. It reads more like a first chapter and ends on a cliffhanger.
However, I liked the premise and I enjoyed how it was presented. The characters are interesting enough to hold my attention, though I’m not sure I really care for the king’s sister. I hope she gets fleshed out more later on.
Overall, I think it’s a good set-up for a much longer work. I look forward to checking out the rest of the series.
