I know it’s late, but I love advent calendars. When I use them, I feel like the days before Christmas slow down and feel more full of what the season is actually about. However, I have limited time. I need something I can put together fast. What sold me on this calendar was the fact that it had a Storm Trooper icon. I’ll probably choose the nativity scene but it’s nice to know I have the option for my husband and boys. (They will love it!) Then again, I may mine it for ideas and do like I did a couple years ago, putting a different activity into twenty-four decorated envelopes. We’ll see how much time I have today.
In looking at the printable, convertible calendar linked above though, I wondered if anyone had thought of making a speculative fiction advent calendar. If not, I thought maybe it might be fun to use this calendar to make my own. After a brief Google search to see what I could find, I discovered that the UK magazine Interzone is indeed doing a spec fic advent calendar this year. (The link takes you to their Latest News page.)
That’s it for now. Enjoy!
(BTW, I don’t get any compensation or reward for mentioning Interzone or linking to them.)
